The 2013 Electra Glide is Harley s flagship touring motorcycle which firmly shows where the company s roots are. Tourers are typically similar in their large-displacement engines, big fuel tanks that allow for almost endless cruising, ample fairings and windscreens for maximum wind deflection, and voluminous luggage space, typically in color-matched hard bags mounted on the sides and rear. There is usually plenty of room for both driver and passenger, and both can enjoy the scenery while seated securely in an upright position. The 2013 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide is all of the above and more, being a thoroughly modern touring motorcycle with a full complement of electronic and security features. There are no mechanical upgrades to the 2013 Electra Glide engine, a testament to its tried, true, and well-loved reputation. Driven by the air-cooled, fuel-injected Twin Cam 103 cubic inch power plant, the Electra Glide classic produces 100 lb-ft of torque at 3500 revolutions per minute (rpm). There is a truckload of punchy power down low for passing, climbing hills, or rolling on the throttle cruising through town. An additional 18 lb-ft of torque are available with the Electra Glide Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) Ultra Classic, which has an engine that has been factory modified with Harley s in-house Screamin' Eagle performance accessories. All Electra Glide engines sport an integrated oil cooler, as well, so the optimum temperature is always achieved.

The Electra Glide is quintessential Harley-Davidson full-dress tourer, so it has a standard 4.52 cubic feet of storage and all the modern conveniences that serious touring riders expect: electronic speedometer with odometer, tachometer with fuel, voltage, oil pressure and ambient air temperature gauges, CD player/stereo with clock, dual trip meter, low fuel indicator light, low oil pressure indicator light, mileage countdown feature, engine diagnostics readout, 6-speed indicator light, and neutral gear indicator.
