The 2013 Electra Glide is Harley s flagship touring motorcycle which firmly shows where the company s roots are. Tourers are typically similar in their large-displacement engines, big fuel tanks that allow for almost endless cruising, ample fairings and windscreens for maximum wind deflection, and voluminous luggage space, typically in color-matched hard bags mounted on the sides and rear. There is usually plenty of room for both driver and passenger, and both can enjoy the scenery while seated securely in an upright position. The 2013 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide is all of the above and more, being a thoroughly modern touring motorcycle with a full complement of electronic and security features. There is no more luxurious way to experience the freedom of the open road than with the 2013 Electra Glide. There are no mechanical upgrades to the 2013 Electra Glide engine, a testament to its tried, true, and well-loved reputation. Driven by the air-cooled, fuel-injected Twin Cam 103 cubic inch power plant, the Electra Glide classic produces 100 lb-ft of torque at 3500 revolutions per minute (rpm). There is a truckload of punchy power down low for passing, climbing hills, or rolling on the throttle cruising through town. An additional 18 lb-ft of torque are available with the Electra Glide Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) Ultra Classic, which has an engine that has been factory modified with Harley s in-house Screamin' Eagle performance accessories. All Electra Glide engines sport an integrated oil cooler, as well, so the optimum temperature is always achieved.
The Electra Glide is quintessential Harley-Davidson full-dress tourer, so it has a standard 4.52 cubic feet of storage and all the modern conveniences that serious touring riders expect: electronic speedometer with odometer, tachometer with fuel, voltage, oil pressure and ambient air temperature gauges, CD player/stereo with clock, dual trip meter, low fuel indicator light, low oil pressure indicator light, mileage countdown feature, engine diagnostics readout, 6-speed indicator light, and neutral gear indicator. Visibility is also a premium with the Electra Glide and standard lights include high beam, running lights, front fender running lights, directional light bar, and bright LED indicator lights. Optional features that can be added include a security system, cruise control, and ABS. Options are the name of the game with Harley-Davidson, and off of the showroom floor it can be rare to see two identical Harleys. With over 10,000 Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories available for customization, the possibilities are nearly endless.
The 2013 Electra Glide is a premium touring-style motorcycle that is an excellent starting point for long-distance riders looking for classic looks, modern engineering, and that legendary Harley-Davidson mystique.

Why Buy From Us
Who is American Motorcycle?
American Motorcycle Trading Company was formed in 1996. We came from humble beginnings, starting out in a 6,000 sq. ft. facility across from the Cowboys Stadium. We built our business on quality relationships with quality people. After serving the DFW community for approximately seven years, we outgrew our facility. In 2003 we bought a new building in the southeast corner of Six Flags Mall, just minutes from Texas Ranger’s Ballpark. Our state of the art, 27,000 sq. ft. facility provided room for our growing business. After thirteen years at Six Flags Mall, we have decided to move to a brand new location in Bedford, Texas! Our new facility is over 40,000 square feet. We’d love to see you in our new showroom.
What makes American Motorcycle different from other motorcycle dealers?
We distinguish ourselves from other dealers in variety of ways. The single most important reason is the quality of our motorcycles. Over the past 22 years, we have bought and sold countless motorcycles. Such significant experience teaches you what to look for in a quality motorcycle. We primarily obtain our motorcycles from dealers who take the motorcycles as trade ins. Our dealer principal spent almost 30 years in the automotive industry and has forged strong relationships with dealers nationwide. We also actively purchase motorcycles from individuals just like you!
All of our motorcycles go through a thorough inspection process. The initial inspection is referred to as a pre-buy inspection or PBI. Before we decide to purchase a motorcycle, our technicians evaluate the bike. This enables our buyer to select only the best units available. On top of that we go through a pre-delivery inspection or PDI, which is a 32 point mechanical and electrical check to insure a safe, trouble free buying experience. We sell most of our bikes to people we never meet! In order to maintain our reputation and build the requisite trust that our customers so often place in us, we take great pride and care in our make ready process. You can rest assured that when you buy from us, you buy a quality motorcycle.
